We
process our clients’ visas for Brazil through the
Consulate General of Brazil in Los Angeles. The Consulate
does not process same day visas and their processing
time is at least 12 working days. The Consulate
in Los Angeles processes visas for applicants who
live in the following states: Arizona, California,
Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming.
BUSINESS VISA
Temporary
Visa IIx (VITEM-II):
You can apply for Business visa (VITEM_II) if the
one or more of the following criteria applies to
you.
- Travelers
with business purposes, except in case of technical
assistance;
- Media coverage or filming - on media assignment
or filming in Brazil;
- Workshop/ Trade show – participating in a workshop
or trade show in Brazil;
- Flight/ship crew members Not holding
an international crew card;
NOTE:
- Yellow Fever International Immunization Certificate - This certificate is mandatory if applicant traveled within the last 90 days to any of the following Countries: Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guyana, Gabon, Ghana, Gambia, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo (ex-Zaire) or Venezuela.
- The legalization of documents issued
in the United States must be done by a Notary Public
within the of the jurisdiction of the Consulate.
If the Notary Public is not registered at the Consulate,
a Specimen of the Notary Public’s signature and stamps
must be brought by applicant to the Consulate. Alternatively,
the applicant may verify the Notary's signature at
the County Clerk.
Please prepare and submit the following items:
- Passport -
Your current signed Passport
which must be valid for a minimum of 6 (six)
months from the intended arrival date in Brazil
and at least with at least two blank visa pages.
- Passport-Style
Photographs - One color passport size
photograph 2”x2” on a white background with
a full front view of face. Snapshots, machine,
home or computer photographs are not acceptable.
- Complete
Visa Application - -
Complete the online Application
Form carefully, print the Protocol and sign it.
You
will to also print all four pages of
online application to attach to your protocol.
You
will need to answer all items accurately, as the Consulate
rejects incomplete/inaccurate applications.
- Driver’s
License – one copy of driver's license
or valid State ID card
as the proof of your current address. If the address
on your driver's license is not your current address,
you will need to provide a copy of your most recent
utility bill which has your name and current address
on it.
- Travel
Document – One copy of your round trip airline
tickets (and
cruise itinerary, if applicable) on travel agents/airline
letter head showing travel to and from Brazil, passenger
names, itineraries, flight numbers and arrival/departure
dates.
- Business
Letter – original business
letterand signature (on company’s letterhead)
stating employee (applicant)’s name and title,
contact in Brazil, description of the job to be
conducted in Brazil, assuring the employee will
not perform any technical work nor will be paid
in Brazil, how long the employee has been working
for the company, and assuming full responsibility
for the applicant while in Brazil. If the applicant
is self-employed, an additional letter will be
required from his/her bank, containing financial
references.
- Non-US
Citizens - A copy of the US Alien Resident
Card for foreign residents and/or a valid visa,
or document to return from Brazil to the US or
other country.
- For
filming or documentary – A special
authorization from the “Secretaria para o Desenvolvimento
Audiovisual” of ANCINE is required, to be obtained
directly by a Brazilian partner.
- Additional
Information - The Consulate may
request additional information/documentation.
- Payment: You
may pay our service fee and the return shipping
fee with one check or money order payable to “GLOBAL
VIP SERVICES”.
- Consular
Fee
for US Nationals is $160, paid
by Postal Money Order only,
payable to the Brazilian
Consulate .

Business visas are good for multiple entries. All business visa holders, regardless of nationality or the length of time that the visa is given for 90 days, may only stay in Brazil for up to 90 days. An extension may be issued by the Federal Police, yet it will not exceed 180 days.
Brazilian Citizens - If you are a Brazilian citizen you must enter Brazil on a Brazilian passport.
