Information and advice on Brazilian visas and the steps you must take to obtain them.



This Visa will be valid for 2 years or up to the passport’s expiration date. It will also allow you to stay for up to 90 days on each visit, with a limit of 180 days per year altogether.

In order to qualify as a visitor, you must be travelling for the purpose of tourism*, business*, transit, sports activities or artistic performances (stays of up to 90 days). Those travelling to Brazil for purposes other than just visiting must apply for their visas in the traditional way.
  • Tourism: sightseeing, informative trips, cultural trips, educational trips, leisure, family visit, conferences, seminars, congresses, meetings, volunteer work (less than 90 days), religious activities (less than 90 days), research, teaching and academic extension (less than 90 days).
  • Business: business meetings and events, fairs, journalistic coverage, filming, reporting, visiting prospective clients, buyers or partners, signing contracts, auditing, consulting, aircraft or ship crew members (less than 90 days).


Only a few countries nationals are able to apply for E-visa. To apply, you must hold a passport issued by one of the countries listed below:

USA, Australia, Canada and Japan

  1. Passport – A clear color copy of your valid signed passport, with a minimum of 6 months validity beyond your intended stay, in jpg format. Alternatively we can make the copy at the office.
  2. Photograph – One passport type photograph 2″ x 2″, full face on a white/light  background, no shadows, no glasses worn, fully developed and not smiling.
  3.  Brazil E-Visa Application Form – Please complete this application form. 
  4. Minors under 18 years old: Need to provide additional supporting documents:
    • Color copy of minor’s certified birth certificate.
    • Color copies of both parents passports.
    • Parents Consent form with both parents signatures – contact us for a copy of this.
    • In case of a parent having full custody – a copy of court certified custody document (all pages).
    • Color copies of both parents driver license.
  5. Fees – Total fee is $115 – payment by check/money order/cash payable to Global VIP Services
    • Consular fee $45
    • Service fee $70
  6. Processing Time:  Usually 5 business days.
  7. Non US Citizens – Need to submit proof of legal status in US – the original and clear color copies (front and back) of their US legal status document.
  8. Order Form Complete and sign Global VIP Services Order Form, and send it to us together with all the above mentioned items via overnight FedEx to our FedEx address given on our Order From. 


If your passport expires before your E-visa, you will need to re-apply for the visa.
