Valid
for six month or one/more years with multiple entries.
However, the period of stay in India (for each
visit) under this category is limited to six months
only.
Business
visa valid for ten years with multiple entries
is available to foreign businessmen who have set
up or intend to set up joint ventures in India.

Long term Business visas for ten years (multiple
entries) in case of US Citizens are available only
to those who have set up industrial/business joint
ventures (JV partner) in India. This fact, along
with the details of joint venture in India must
be mentioned in the sponsorship letter. An invitation
from a JV partner in India requesting this visa
is required. If this visa is not approved, a one
year multiple entry visa will be substituted and
no partial refund of the fee is available from
the Consulate.

- Passport - Your current signed Passport which must be valid for a minimum of six months with at least two blank visa pages.

- Copy
of Birth Certificate - A photocopy of
the birth certificate or any government issued
document that shows parents name, date of birth
and nationality. Depending on your nationality
at birth, these are the documents that are accepted.
- US Born: Only birth certificates
are accepted for applicants born in the US.
- Indian Born: Those born in
India can use their birth certificate, old
Indian passport or school leaving certificate.
- All Others: Those not born
in the US or India should submit a birth certificate
or any government document from the country of
origin that has parents name, date of birth and
nationality. Must be translated into English
and notarized.
- Proof
of Residence - a
copy of your driver's licence or a copy of
your recent utility bill. For minors a
parent/guardian's proof of residence may be
submitted.
- Non-US
Citizens Provide Proof of LPR- Applicants
who hold other than US passports should submit
proof of long- term US visa (at least three years)/
permanent residence (copy of green card) in the
United States.
- Citizens
of other countries, who
do not normally stay in U. S., a reference has
to be made to their country of residence for which
an additional $20 fee is applicable and will involve
15 to 30 days processing time. Please submit the Clearance
form“ only applies to applicants who live
in the jurisdiction of the Indian Consulate’s San
Francisco” , if you are a visitor in USA and a
citizen of another country.
- Sponsor letter –
A letter from the sponsoring organization indicating
nature of applicant's business, probable duration
of stay, validity of visa, places and organizations
to be visited and also a guarantee to meet maintenance
expenses etc. should accompany the applicationsample business
letter.
- Payment: You
may pay all the fees with one money
order payable to “GLOBAL VIP SERVICES”.
The total payment will cover: Consulate Fee(s),

If you wish
to pay the Indian visa fee directly to the Consulate,
you MUST provide a separate Money

- Minor children of foreign nationals including
those of Indian origin also require appropriate
visa to enter India.
- : Applicants
who are not citizens/residents of the USA and
hold a tourist or other short-term visa for
the USA should normally apply for Indian visas
in the country of their permanent residence.
In case of emergency or special circumstance,
an application could be made at the Indian
Embassy in Washington DC or Consulates General
of India in the USA. In addition to the relevant
visa fee there is a reference fee of $20.00
for reference to be made to the country of
their original residence. The processing time
in such cases is usually 5-7 working days. (Non
