Transit visa allows you to travel through the Russian territory without stay depending on your tickets. It is issued for up
to 72 hours, if you travel by air, or for up to 10 days, if you are travelling by other means of transportation.
Please prepare and submit the following items:
- Visa of the country of destination - Provide proof of the visa of the country of citizenship – this should usually be stamped in your passport.
- Passport (original) - Your current signed Passport which must be valid for a minimum of six months with at least two blank visa pages.
- Passport Vital Page – Copy of your passport's vital page(s).
- Passport-Style Photographs - One color passport size photograph 2”x2” on a white background with a full front view of face. Snapshots, machine, home or computer photographs are not acceptable.
- Complete Visa Application - Download the Application Form Application form for US Citizensor for Non-US Citizens, complete the application carefully, clearly and sign it
- Cover letter – include a letter giving your details, destination(s), purpose of the trip, dates of arrival and departure, cities to be visited in Russia and your telephone or facsimile number.
- Travel Document – One copy of your round trip airline tickets/ itinerary.
- Non-US Citizens Provide Proof of LPR- Applicants who hold other than US passports should submit proof of long- term (at least three years)/ permanent residence (copy of green card) in the United States.
- Payment: You
may pay all the fees with one Cashier's check/
money order payable to “GLOBAL VIP SERVICES”.

- No medical insurance - is officially required for the US citizens, unless they stay in Russia for 6 months or more. Prior to your visit, consult your medical insurance issuer for details. Mandatory medical insurance on the basis of reciprocity is required for the citizens of Estonia, Israel and Finland, as well as for the citizens of Schengen Agreement Member-States (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and other Schengen states).
